APA (American Psychological Association) 6th is an author-date referencing style where you have an in-text citation and a related entry in a reference list at the end of your document.
APA 6th - film, television, radio, video or podcast
Mention significant, or relevant, contributors (producer, writer, director etc). For example, if you were quoting the narrator, include the narrator's name.
Reference list
Add a reference list at the end of your essay, citing all sources used in the body of your writing. The reference list should be in alphabetical order by the first author's surname.
Motion picture or audio recording
Format
Producer (Prod.), Director (Dir.) or whichever is relevant. (Year of publication). Title of work [Medium of publication]. Country of origin: Studio.
Narrator (Narr.), Director (Dir.) or whichever is relevant. (Year of publication). "Title of chapter." In Producer (Producer), Title of work [Medium of publication]. Country of origin: Studio.

Television or radio broadcast
The first example is a standalone work. The second example shows how to reference one episode of a series; it takes a similar format to referencing a chapter in a book.

Television or radio on demand
On-demand television or radio describes media that has been broadcast and stored in an online database for future retrieval. If the database is accessible by subscription only, give the URL of the homepage.

Online video or podcast
Media sharing websites often use stable URLs that link directly to the source. If the uploader has a real name and a screen name, add their screen name in square brackets [...] after their real name, otherwise just use their screen name.

Place a comma preceding an ‘&’ before the last author's name.

Eight or more contributors
List the first six contributors' names, insert ellipses, then add the last contributor.

In-text citation
When you use another person’s ideas or words in your text include the author’s name and publication date.
If you use the author’s name as part of a sentence, include the date of publication in brackets.
One contributor

Two contributors
Use ‘and’ between the contributors' surnames when they form part of the sentence. Use ‘&’ when they are enclosed within parentheses.

Three to five contributors
List all surnames in the first citation, but subsequently, only the first listed contributor is used, followed by et al. A comma precedes ‘and’ and ‘&’ when there are three or more contributors.

Cite only the surname of the first contributor followed by ‘et al.’

Quoting
Direct quotes of less than 40 words require quotation marks and the page number/s.
- The narrator said that "these first flights are always the most stressful" (Tennant, 2013).
- Tennant (2013) said that "these first flights are always the most stressful".
